1.   Introduction

Did you ever want to delete multiple contacts on iPhone? We are sure you have wanted that atleast once and given up on it after you realized how difficult is it to do this. We all know how easy it is to mess up our address books on iPhone and then the pain that comes with it in deleting those contacts. DeleteContacts is a very simple utility to let you clean your address book by providing you with a very simple interface to delete contacts.

Features:

• Delete All Contacts of the Address Book on a go.
• Delete Multiple Contacts selected for Deletion at once.
• Gives you the details of Contacts.
• Edit the Details of a Contact.
• View the selection status of Contacts [Selected/Unselected] during search & Unselect them.
• Asks for a confirmation message with the count of selected contacts for deletion.

NOTE: Contacts once deleted through this app can't be restored. We advise that you backup your address book before proceeding with next steps.

2.1  Launch DeleteContacts App on your iPhone

Launch DeleteContacts by tapping the icon on your iPhone.                           

2.2  Lists all your Contacts

Please note that the contacts with no data in any one of the following fields

• Firstname, lastname, middlename, company name, phone no, OR email ID, will be listed as "No Name".

• You can rotate the iPhone to view the list of Contacts in either Portrait /Landscape mode according to your iPhone holding position at any stage of our application.

2.3  Selecting/UnSelecting the Contacts

• Single Tap on a contact to select it & Tap again on a selected contact to unselect it.

• Only if the contacts are selected [atleast single contact], "Delete" button appears -Select all the unwanted contacts to be deleted.

2.4  Select All/DeSelect All Contacts

• To select all the contacts in the address book, Tap "Select All" button on the left side of the Navigation bar. You can deselect one or more contacts after you have selected all the contacts using "Select All".

• To DeSelect all the contacts, Tap the “DeSelect All" button which shows up only when all the contacts are selected using "Select All" button.

2.5  Search Functionality

• Using search you can search the required contacts.

• You can tap on the contacts in the search list to Select & Tap once more to unselect it.

2.6  View & Edit Details of Contacts

• At any point of time in the App, you can see the details of any contact by clicking the ">"[should place a image here] button. You can even edit the contact details by clicking on "Edit" button.

• You can go back to the contacts screen by clicking the "Select Contacts" button on the left side of Navigation Bar.

2.7  Deleting the Contacts

• Once you have finished selecting all the contacts for deletion, click on "Delete" button on the right of navigation bar to delete the selected contacts.

• A warning message with the count of contacts selected for deletion pop's up asking for your confirmation.

• Click "NO" to go back & unselect any contacts.

• Click "YES" to delete the selected contacts.

• Progress wheel shows up indicating the deletion process.

• An information message with number of contacts deleted shows up once the contacts are deleted.

• You can continue to delete more contacts repeating the above steps.

2.8  Finish

• Once you are done deleting all the unwanted Contacts, you click on "Done" button on the right & you will see the window with the count of total deleted contacts since the launch of the app till the end.

• When you delete all the contacts in the address book using "Select All" or by selecting all the available contacts, you will automatically see the final window since there will be no more contacts to delete.
